Acid Drop - With the board in hand, throw it down, before it hits the ground, jump on it and roll away. Best done in one motion where you are in the air before the board gets to the ground.
Easy trick to learn first. It will be a real rush the first time you throw your board down and roll away all in one motion.
This was the famed trick to learn in my school yard back in the 80's. No one could do it. They talked about it a lot.
Strangely no one would tell you what it was because they didn't want you to learn it and get better than them.
Anyway. Throw your board down and roll.
